Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all class bookings, purchases, and participation in any Havana Salsa activities, including group classes, private lessons, workshops, socials, and events (“Services”). By purchasing or attending any Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS
1.1 All bookings must be made through our official website, online booking system, in class payment system or authorised Havana Salsa staff.
1.2 Payment must be completed at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
1.3 Prices are subject to change at any time. Existing bookings remain unaffected.
1.4 Havana Salsa is a Cashless organisation.

2. CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS & TRANSFERS
2.1 All sales are final. Havana Salsa operates a strict no-refund policy unless required by consumer law.
2.2 Classes, courses, and workshops are non-transferable to other persons or future dates unless otherwise stated.
2.3 If Havana Salsa must cancel a class or event, customers will be offered an alternative date or a credit.
2.4 Missed classes cannot be refunded, carried over, or exchanged.
2.5 Single classes purchased can only be used for the date selected online, not any other date.

3. CLASS CONDUCT & SAFETY
3.1 Participants must follow instructions from instructors at all times.
3.2 Havana Salsa is not liable for injuries occurring due to misuse of technique or failure to follow instructions.
3.3 You acknowledge that dance involves physical activity and participate at your own risk.
3.4 Appropriate behaviour is mandatory. Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behaviour may result in removal without refund.
3.5 Havana Salsa reserves the right to refuse entry to any participant for safety or conduct reasons.
3.6 Havana Salsa reserves the right to remove you from WhatsApp groups and classes if you contact other WhatsApp group users without their consent, and behave inappropriately over WhatsApp.

4. HEALTH & FITNESS
4.1 You confirm you are physically able to participate in dance activities.
4.2 Any medical conditions that may affect your participation must be disclosed before attending.
4.3 If you feel unwell during a class, you must stop and inform an instructor immediately.

5. ATTENDANCE & TIMEKEEPING
5.1 Classes begin promptly; late arrivals may not be permitted to join.
5.2 Consistent attendance is recommended to maintain progress, especially because Havana Salsa structures are progressive-level courses.

6. MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY
6.1 Havana Salsa may take photos or videos during classes and events for promotional use.
6.2 By attending, you consent to your image being used unless you notify us in writing prior to the class/event.
6.3 Participants are welcome to take photos/videos only if it does not disrupt the class or affect the privacy of others.

7. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
7.1 Participants are responsible for their personal items.
7.2 Havana Salsa is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.

8. GIFT VOUCHERS & OFFERS
8.1 Gift vouchers are non-refundable and valid only until their stated expiry date.
8.2 Promotional offers, discounts, or free sessions cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

9. CHANGES TO SCHEDULE OR INSTRUCTORS
9.1 Havana Salsa may modify class schedules, venues, or instructors when necessary.
9.2 Any changes will be communicated via email, text, or on our website where possible.

10. LIABILITY
10.1 Havana Salsa is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation, except where legally required.
10.2 You participate entirely at your own risk.

11. WEBSITE & ONLINE CONTENT
11.1 All content on the Havana Salsa website (text, images, videos, logos) is protected by copyright.
11.2 You may not copy, distribute, or use any content without written permission.

12. PRIVACY POLICY
12.1 Personal information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12.2 We do not share your data with third parties except where required to provide our Services (e.g., payment processing).

13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

14. INJURY WAIVER
14.1 Participation in Havana Salsa classes is voluntary. Although Havana Salsa provides a suitable warm-up and salsa is considered a low-impact activity, all physical exercise carries some degree of risk. By taking part in the class, participants accept responsibility for their own health and safety and agree that Havana Salsa, its instructors, and affiliates are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or health issues that may occur during or after the session, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
14.2 Participants should inform the instructor of any pre-existing medical conditions and are encouraged to exercise within their own limits.
14.3 By entering into, and participating in the activities described herein, you accept these terms and your adherence to the responsibilities required.
